Thon Hotel Asker

I recently stayed at this luxurious 4-star hotel and I had a fantastic experience. The location of this place is simply breathtaking, as it is situated near a marina on Oslofjord. The views from the terrace and the garden furniture were absolutely stunning, allowing me to relax and unwind. The room amenities were top-notch, including ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, and a well-stocked mini-bar. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a cozy sitting area where I could kick back and enjoy some downtime. The staff here were incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing excellent room service and keeping the housekeeping standards at a high level. I also appreciated the delicious welcome drink upon my arrival.

I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The beautiful surroundings, excellent service, and comfortable rooms make it the perfect choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Large rooms in new modern design, clean, nice breakfast, top location, bus to Oslo stops in front of the hotel, sufficient parking

At the edge of the hotel there is also a parking lot for buses. They also like to run the engines for a long time in the early morning, which is very annoying when the window is open. Parking 15 EUR per day.

Coffee machine or electric kettle would have been nice in the room, what you find in other hotels of the same category

The breakfast selection was excellent, with good variety and fresh bread from United Bakeries. The hotel had a serene and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was warm, quiet, and well-maintained. The bathroom was beautiful with heated floors.

Can't fault anything about it.

The hotel was conveniently located in a quiet area, but still close enough to the city center. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious with a nice view of the surroundings. The breakfast had a good variety of options, including fresh fruits and a coffee station.

The staff was rude and unprofessional, often ignoring guests’ requests and comments. The heating system in the room was not working properly, making it too hot at night. Additionally, the walls were thin, which made it difficult to sleep due to the noise from neighboring rooms. The overall experience was disappointing and not worth the price paid.

Already get a room on arrival at 12 o'clock. Delicious, rich breakfast.

Extra parking fees, could be at least partially reimbursed to hotel guests.

The breakfast was very good, coffee tastes excellent. Everything is fresh, everyone will be able to find something delicious to enjoy

The air conditioning in the room was making a humming noise all the time, which was very annoying.

This hotel is located in a scenic area close to nature, which is perfect for a weekend getaway. It's easy to travel to Oslo city center, either by car or with regular buses. the breakfast is excellent, and the food in the restaurant is nicely prepared. There is also a mini-bar in the room to chill your drinks, which is convenient.

The room can be a little small for two people who have a winter coat and dresses for a weekend.

Extra cost for parking

There were a few things that I liked about the hotel. For one, the price was affordable, which was great for my city break. the location was pretty convenient and allowed me to explore the surrounding area with ease. the swimming pool was also a nice feature and provided a way to relax after a busy day of exploring.

There were also several aspects of the hotel that I really didn't like. First, the reception area was unstaffed when I arrived, which made checking in quite difficult.

The location is conveniently near a marina on Oslofjord and easily accessible by taxi from Asker train station.
